Partnr Community Guidelines

Partnr is for adults making platonic friendships around shared interests. These guidelines explain, in plain language, the rules you agreed to in section 5 of the Terms of Service, what happens when they are broken, and how to appeal. If the two ever differ, the Terms control.

The rules

Adults only. You must be 18 or older and use your real date of birth. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we terminate it.
Be yourself. One account per person with accurate information, no impersonation, photos you have the right to post, and no accounts created to get around a block or suspension.
Respect people. No harassment, threats, bullying, stalking, hate or discrimination, and nothing that encourages violence or self-harm.
Keep it friendly. No nudity, sexually explicit or graphically violent content.
Protect children. Zero tolerance for anything that sexualizes minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires.
No money talk. Do not ask members for money, promote scams, run commercial promotions or recruit for businesses, or send spam. Be wary of any request for money and report it.
Respect privacy. Do not post other people's private information or intimate images, and only post photos of people who agreed to appear.
Play fair. Do not collect or scrape other members' information, and do not use bots or automation, or try to bypass limits or security.
Follow the law. Nothing illegal, deceptive or infringing.

Examples

Fine: inviting a group to a weekend hike; sharing a photo of your ceramics; telling someone you would rather not meet. Not fine: repeatedly messaging someone who stopped replying; posting a photo of a friend who did not agree to it; asking for a loan or a gift card.

How we enforce

We may use automated tools and human review to screen content and enforce the Terms. Automated text screening currently covers English only; reports in any language are reviewed by people. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and report conduct to law enforcement, at our discretion, with or without notice where appropriate. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires.

How to report

In the app, open the profile or post menu and choose Report; you can also block anyone instantly. Without the app, use the web report form or email safety@partnr.us. Do not attach images, video or files: describe the concern in words, and never send or describe in detail sexual content involving someone who may be under 18. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services.

How to appeal

If you believe an action on your account was a mistake, email support@partnr.us from the address on your account with what happened. We will review it, aiming to respond within 45 days, as stated in section 7 of the Terms.
