Partnr child safety standards
Last updated 2026-10-30.
Partnr is a friendship app for adults 18 and over. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form and have zero tolerance for it. These standards describe what is prohibited, how to report a concern, how we handle reports, how we comply with child safety law and who to contact. They sit alongside our Safety page, Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. What is prohibited
Any content or behaviour that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a minor is prohibited on Partnr. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors in any form (photo, video, audio, illustration or text), grooming, sextortion, solicitation of a minor, and any attempt by or on behalf of a person under 18 to use the service. We have zero tolerance for this conduct.
Partnr is only for adults. You must be 18 or older and enter your real date of birth when you sign up; an account whose declared age is under 18 is refused by the app and by our servers. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we terminate it and delete it as described in the Privacy Policy. Age is self-declared: we do not use age-assurance technology.
2. How to report
- In the app. Open the menu on a profile, a message in a conversation, a group post or a comment and choose Report. The categories include User is Underage and Child Sexual Abuse Material. You can also Block anyone: blocking ends the connection and any conversation between you, in both directions.
- By email. Write to our safety team at safety@partnr.us, or use the web report form and choose "Someone under 18". You do not need an account to report. Never send or forward sexual images, or any image of someone who may be under 18, and do not describe such content in detail: say that it exists and where it is in the app (the screen and the username), and nothing more.
- In an emergency. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.
3. How reports are handled
- Automated image screening. Profile photos, chat images and group cover images are screened by a machine-learning image moderation service. When an image is flagged it is withheld from the app and the account is suspended pending human review. Videos, voice notes and other audio are not machine-screened; they rely on member reports and human review.
- Automated text screening. Automated text screening currently covers English only; reports in any language are reviewed by people.
- Human review. Reports in the Underage and Child Sexual Abuse Material categories enter our safety queue as urgent cases, and a moderator decides the outcome. A group post or comment reported for child sexual abuse material is normally hidden from every reader while it is reviewed; when it cannot be hidden automatically, it still waits in the urgent queue for a moderator. Accounts flagged in error are reinstated.
- Removal and account action. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and report conduct to law enforcement, at our discretion, as set out in the Terms of Service.
- Preservation and referral. Media flagged by image screening cannot be deleted by the person who uploaded it, and report records are kept when an account is deleted. Confirmed cases are referred as described in section 4.
4. Compliance with child safety laws
We work to comply with child safety laws, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Apparent child sexual abuse material that our safety team confirms is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline through its reporting service for online service providers. Partnr is registered with that service.
5. Child safety point of contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is the Partnr safety team, reachable at safety@partnr.us. This mailbox receives child safety concerns from members, the public, child protection organizations and law enforcement.
6. Keeping these standards current
We review these standards when our features or the law change and update the date at the top of this page. Questions about them can be sent to the same address.
